Cookies & Browser Storage
This page describes the browser storage and external services used by BillUtilityAI. It covers cookies and similar technologies such as local and session storage.
Effective October 7, 2026
1. Authentication storage
After sign-in, local storage holds an authentication token so the app can make authenticated API requests. Signing out removes the active token from this browser. Tokens expire after seven days; account deletion disables access immediately.
Google sign-in uses session storage for temporary state, nonce, sign-in mode, and the currency selected for account creation. These values support verification of the sign-in response.
2. Appearance and notification preferences
Optional browser storage is off until you choose Allow preferences or enable Remember preferences in the storage settings. When allowed, local storage retains appearance preferences and limited notification state to restore your interface and remember dismissed notifications. These values are not used for advertising.
Choosing Essential only removes these optional browser caches. Your saved account appearance remains in your account; notification dismissals can still work during the current visit without being saved in the browser.
3. External services
Google sign-in opens Google only after you select its sign-in button. Google may use cookies and related technologies under its own privacy policy. No Google sign-in widget or embedded social-media feed is loaded by BillUtilityAI.
Links to social profiles and provider documentation open external sites only when selected. Those sites have their own storage and privacy practices. The current app has no advertising, analytics, session-replay, or cross-site tracking scripts.
The public site requests the Google Sans font from Google Fonts. Google receives the font request and associated connection information, such as the IP address. This request does not load an advertising or analytics script. Your browser may use a local fallback font if the font service is blocked.
4. Your controls
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser, sign out, or avoid optional Google sign-in by using email and password. Clearing site storage may sign you out and reset appearance or notification preferences. Blocking authentication storage can prevent sign-in from working.
Use Storage preferences in the footer to allow or turn off optional preference storage at any time. The site stores your choice locally so it can honor it on later visits. This choice and authentication storage are essential; choosing Essential only does not sign you out.
The current app has no advertising or analytics tracking. Allowing preferences does not authorize future tracking scripts. If optional analytics, advertising, or embeds are added, they require their own appropriate consent controls.
5. Changes and questions
Read the Privacy Policy for financial-data processing, retention, providers, and account deletion. Contact BillUtilityAI using the address below with questions about browser storage.
