A simple guide

How to use BillUtilityAI

Think of it as a notebook for your money. Write down what you get and what you spend. Then use those numbers to plan your month.

Make your account

Choose Get started on the homepage. Add your name, email, and password. Choose your currency, read the terms and privacy policy, then choose Create Account. Already have an account? Choose Sign in.

Currency is the kind of money you use, such as dollars or taka.

Give your money some groups

Open Categories and choose Add Category. Give the group a name. Choose Income for money you get, or Expense for money you spend. Choose Save.

Make an Income group called Salary and an Expense group called Food. These groups are called categories.

Write down money in and money out

Open Transactions and choose Add Transaction. Choose Income or Expense. Add the amount, choose the right category, and check the date. You can add a short description if you want. Choose Save.

You get 100: add an Income record for 100. You buy food for 30: add an Expense record for 30. Enter a positive amount for both.

Set a spending limit

Open Budgets and choose Add Budget. Choose an expense category, enter your limit, choose Monthly, then choose Save. The app shows how much of that limit you have used.

A Food budget of 50 means you plan to spend up to 50 on food this month. If you spend 30, you have 20 left in that budget.

See the bigger picture

Open Dashboard. Income is the money you have recorded coming in this month. Expenses are the money you have recorded going out. Balance is income minus expenses.

If your income is 100 and your expenses are 30, your balance is 70. The app uses the records you add.

Ask for help understanding your numbers

Open AI Insights. Choose Generate Insight under Monthly Summary or Savings Tips. Wait for the result. If the button says Available tomorrow, try again tomorrow.

AI can make mistakes. Check its ideas before you use them. It helps you think about your records; you make the decisions.

Fix a mistake or change the look

In Transactions, choose Edit next to a record, change the details, then choose Save. Use Delete only when you want to remove the record. Open History to see recent changes. Open Settings to change your profile or appearance.

On a phone, use the menu button at the top to find Dashboard, Transactions, Budgets, and the other pages.

Your first three records

Here is a small example. Use your own numbers when you try the app.

  1. Add an income record for 100 in Salary.
  2. Add an expense record for 30 in Food.
  3. Add a monthly Food budget of 50.

Your Dashboard balance is 70. Your Food budget has 20 left. That is the basic idea.
